Perbadanan Memajukan Iktisad Negeri Terengganu (PMINT) was established on 1 April, 1965 under Enakmen Kerajaan Negeri Terengganu (Bil.3/1965). primary purpose of the division is to be the lead agency for implementing state and accelerate the development and socio-economic development in Terengganu State.

 

With the launch of Dasar Ekonomi Baru (DEB) in 1971, also supports the goal of PMINT DEB to eradicate poverty and restructure society. Similarly, when Dasar Pembangunan Nasional 1991 – 2000 (DPN) which began in 1991, PMINT also actively involved in the success of the policy.
